Sweet pepper

The fruit of an annual bush "Capsicum annuum", also known as Bell pepper, or Capsicum. Usually about 8-15 cm long, 6-10 cm in diameter, bell-shaped, with a shiny, smooth, fleshy and juicy skin either green, red, orange or yellow in colour, and with small seeds in the largely hollow interior. These peppers do not contain capsaicin and are therefore less "hot" than other pepper varieties, but more sweet; however the green pepper is less sweet and more bitter than the other colours.
